Ms. Chuang will perform sponsored masterclasses and concerts, as well as generally represent Brannen Brothers and TRIO Music in the Asian region. She plays a 14K Rose Gold Lafin Headjoint on a 19.5K Rose gold Brannen-Cooper Flute with 14K Rose gold mechanism, toneholes, ribs, posts, barrel, and rings.

ABOUT IVY CHUANG
Ms. Chuang is an acclaimed solo and orchestral flutist and piccoloist from Hong Kong. She is a charismatic performer noted for her brilliant technique, diversified approach, and dramatic emotion, spanning every musical era. Diversity is a hallmark of Ivy’s concerts and recitals.
Ms. Chuang has maintained a distinctive and versatile career for more than a decade. She is now a regular freelance flute and piccolo player with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, where she made a heralded debut at age 17. Internationally, Ivy made appearances as a freelance flutist and piccoloist with Orquesta Sinfonica del Principado de Asturias (Spain), the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra (China), and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (UK) for their China Tour in 2011. She has appeared as soloist with the Boston University Wind Ensemble, Hong Kong Wind Ensemble, the Providence College Wind Ensemble, and the Chung Chi Wind Orchestra (CUHK, Hong Kong).
Over the years, Ms. Chuang has had the honor of working with some of the world’s finest conductors, such as Pinchas Zukerman, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Lorin Maazel, Sergiu Comissiona, Edo de Waart, Sir Neville Marriner, and Jaap van Zweden to name a few. She has performed on four continents in world-class venues, such as the Royal Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Konzerthaus Berlin, and Tokyo Suntory Hall.
Ms. Chuang is devoted to and passionate about teaching. She ultimately aspires to promote flute education in Hong Kong. She is one of the few professionals who teaches flute and piccolo in all music faculties of the local tertiary institutions, currently the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Baptist University, the Education University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Ivy is frequently invited to present masterclasses in Hong Kong, China, and the USA.
Ivy obtained the Music Diploma and the Bachelor of Music with first-class honors at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA). She then received a Postgraduate Diploma from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, England, graduating with Distinction. Her teachers included Margaret Crawford, Simon Channing, Andrew Nicholson, Emer McDonough, Linda Stuckey, Peter Lloyd, Karen Jones, Patricia Morris, and Joanne Boddington.
