BAM Case & Cover

In partnership with the prestigious instrument case maker, BAM Cases of France, we are pleased to pair an exciting, new Brannen Brothers' case and cover package with every new flute! It may also be purchased separately for existing Brannen Flutes.
Here are the details:

CASE

Outside Features:

  • Medium grey tweed pattern with a black seal, hinges, and latch

  • Shell made of the BAM Hightech technique: a triple-ply structure made of high-performance materials (ABS, Airex foam, another type of ABS). The case is ultra lightweight and extremely rigid with excellent resistance to shocks and temperature changes.

  • Male/female airtight seal: Shaped under heat, this seal ensures a tight closing and contributes to the rigidity of the case when closed.

  • Flat, integrated latch with keys

  • Brannen Brothers' logo

Inside Features:

  • Black velvet

  • Inside cradle made of injected high-density, high-resilience polyurethane foam, exclusively developed by BAM, to protect it against thermal shocks.

The look of the case is sleek, clean, and simple with modern lines and a classic medium grey tweed pattern. Its design takes full advantage of modern technology to protect the delicate nature of handmade flutes for the flutists of today.

Cases come with a two-year warranty on materials and quality.

COVER

The case cover is made of a black, heavyweight, ballistic nylon fabric with a durable water-repellent finish and exceptional abrasion, puncture, and tear resistance. The styling has clean lines and interesting details, such as a piped edge, exterior pocket with waterproof zipper, Brannen Brothers' logo, and a removable shoulder strap.

WHY BAM?

Besides appearance, there are significant safety differences between the old style French cases and the modern BAM case (also from France!). The BAM case is superior to the wooden French case since it takes advantage of current materials and manufacturing technology to provide excellent protection to a flute if dropped in its case.

The old style French case had the flute suspended between touch points, sitting lower in the bottom half of the case, offering no real shock absorbance to the flute if the case is dropped. The BAM case has an injection-molded interior, supporting the entire flute when the cover is closed, rather than suspending it between touchpoints. In fact, the BAM case is longer in length and taller in height, while the flute sits higher in the bottom half, specifically to absorb shock. This case is the most protective case on the market right now and is far more protective than the wood French case could ever be.

We understand the BAM case represents a stylistic change which may take time for some players to embrace. However, we value the added safety and protection afforded by the BAM case above all else.

Please note:  Brannen Brothers will not be held responsible for damage to any instrument because it was stored in an after-market case.
